Turn on the TV and you’ll often hear about Prince George and what the royal toddler wore that day.
There are websites dedicated to him and his fashion choices. So, there’s no denying it: Prince George is a fashion trendsetter.
Of course the little prince’s mother, Kate Middleton has a big hand in what he wears.
We common folk cannot possibly compete with the royal trendsetters. However, we can attempt to try! Dress your kid fashionably by:
Starting With the Basics
Parents just building their kid’s wardrobe can start by buying as many basics as possible, and accessorize with key clothing pieces later. The secret to having a wardrobe full of good basic clothing is buying from inexpensive stores (cute shorts here, a funky looking shirt there) and then splurging on the statement pieces.
Practically any look is easy to whip up with the great basics, i.e. a good hat, scarf, ruffle socks, sweater and, of course, shoes.
Summer is here and what better to cool off than layering our shirts – with prints, of course. Not only does layering pattern prints upon more prints is a nice way to bring a pop of colour, it’s also a very smart way to dress on cooler days. Stumped where to start?
Layer a knee length dress with brightly coloured leggings and a light cardigan.
Mix and Match Pieces
What do you do when you walk into a store and see a cute outfit that you just have to buy for your baby? Do you buy the entire outfit? Well, there’s isn’t any need to as sometimes just one piece (a shirt, a hat) can be part of collection and help make the perfect outfit!
You don’t necessarily have to buy your entire child’s clothing from one departmental store too. What with online shopping, parents can now buy spate clothing pieces from separate brands, it’s that easy! Another thing: you should always go for quality over quantity (even if your child grows quickly). It’s possible for one beloved sweater to last for longer than 3-4 pieces from cheap clothing brands.
